Burning Permit Procedure

Call the Fire Station that covers your area and leave a message stating your name, phone number, address and the dates that you will be burning.

Station 1 (Central) is located on Bicentennial Drive behind the township hall.
Area Covered:  Residents North of Carpenter Road

Station 2 is located at 4136 N. Jennings Rd. between Pierson and Carpenter.
Area Covered:  Residents on Carpenter and everything South of Carpenter, Clio Road South to Pasadena West to Elms Road and NOrth to Carpenter

Station 3 (Beecher) is located at 1027 Louis Avenue West of Saginaw Street.
Area Covered:  Residents Beecher area Saginaw Street West to Mendel Berger and Bates North to Stanley Road; Neff Road down to South Frances Road and up to West Saginaw.

Waste & Recycling Info

Mt. Morris Township Residents Only

18 Gallon recycling Bins are available for free to every home in the Township.  You must have proper ID to pick up your Bin at the Clerks office in the Township Hall.  Additional Bins are available for purchase for $10.00.

One Free Dump Per Month
You may obtain your dump pass from the Township Clerk's Office.  Township residents can dump from their personal vehicles one time per month, not to exceed 1,000 lbs. limit per pass, at the Brent Run Landfill located at 8335 W. Vienna Road in Montrose.  Please visit for the landfill operating hours or call 810-639-3077.  Does Not Include Yard Waste.

Trash Pickup:  Is picked up once a week on Tuesdays.
Trash must be placed at the curb by 6:30a.m. on your regular scheduled pick up day.

Holidays Observed: New Years. Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, garbage will be picked up a day later.

Park Pavilion

Did you know?

Mt. Morris Township has a covered pavilion that is availiable to rent.  There are electic outlets, new handicap accessible parking, picnic tables, grills and... a playground area with all new play equipment.

Starting January 1, 2010 for spring, summer, and fall season.  Rental fee is $200.00 ( includes $50.00 deposit to be refunded if conditions are met).    The Reservations is a first come, first serve basis.  Click <here>for Park Rental Agreement.
